So I know my latest trend report is late, but I have spent the last month reflecting on what I really want this blog to be about. I also took a wonderful trip to Disney which was amazing and so much fun. I felt like a little kid again to be totally honest. I want this blog to be a collection of all things fashion, but not just subject to clothing and styles. I believe that fashion is all around us from the restaurants we go to, the movies we see, the art we like, and even music. It sounds like a bunch of mush, but I am going to try my hardest to execute my vision for Lola Glenn and hopefully it brings people some insightful information and makes people happy as much as it does to me.
So after that novel, now for the trend report! From the magazines I can tell that there are a lot of new things coming into this season. But, what else is new? To be totally and completely honest I find it so incredibly hard to keep up with trends. One minute my cute boots are in, another moment I see in a magazine that I should throw them away. Of course, I still do trend reports because I think it is interesting to see what comes and goes, and boy let me tell you things come and go faster than the speed of light. Okay that is a bit dramatic, but you see my point.
So! January trends this time around can be described as bold and grand, such as lingerie becoming a staple in everyday wear. Also, we can’t forget floral for spring. The biggest things to keep an eye out for are whimsical bags, graphic t-shirts and even bustiers. This is a little gist of what is big and upcoming from the month of January.
Trust me when I say this, but you will hear from me more often 😉
