However, mishaps happen and you need those favorite pieces to last more than one season. Read on to learn how to take care of your pieces step-by-step. Linen can be safely washed in the washing machine, but if you want to put extra love and TLC into your clothes it’s advised to hand-wash. Make sure to use a mild detergent when you do. These are our favorite mild detergents:

Start by filling a sink, a container of water, or anything large enough to hold what your washing, with lukewarm water and a teaspoon of mild detergent. Soak your linen clothing for approximately 10-15 minutes.

Drying
to air dry or to use a dryer?
Linen can be dried in a dryer on low heat or can also be air dried by line drying or drying flat.

Ironing
The key to ironing linen is to iron when damp. When you are done ironing hang up the garment to allow to dry completely.
